Mountain BOCES: Congratulations, Roaring Fork and Garfield Re-2!

Garfield County School District Re-2 and Roaring Fork School District third graders reached all time high test scores in reading.  In Garfield Re-2, which includes New Castle, Silt, and Rifle schools, 74.4% of the students scored proficient or advanced.  In Roaring Fork, which includes Glenwood Springs, Carbondale, and Basalt, 75.2% of the students scored proficient or (Continued...)

U.S News and World Report reviewed 21,776 U.S. public high schools, and 88 Colorado schools made their rankings.  Aspen High School ranked first in Colorado and 59th in the nation.  Using primarily 2009-10 test results and taking economic and social demographics into account, the first steps considered how high schools stacked up relative to others in their state.  They (Continued...)
